RWV Potluck Luncheon - Indoors, In Person
River West Village is having its monthly potluck lunch on Tuesday! Bring a dish to share and your own plate, utensils and beverage. We‘ll have a good time eating, appreciating the variety of food, and learning what‘s happening in our lives.
Where: Patricia Whiting Dining Hall in Metzger Park, 8400 SW Hemlock, Tigard 97223 (Near Hall Blvd.)
This building has great ventilation, is supplied with tables and chairs, and a piano. There is a full kitchen: range, refrigerator, coffee maker & microwave. We wash our own dishes and cleanup as we depart.
This is a neighborhood park with some parking close to the door; additional parking is scattered around the park.

Description: Do you know who is watching and counting your Village’s and the Hub’s money? What internal controls do we have in place? What are the deadlines for different tasks and how much lead time is required? What financial reports are available to your Village and where are they kept?
In response to interest from Village leaders, the Villages NW Finance Team has created this financial overview to give you the highlights and answer your questions. It is a working lunch designed for Village leaders and volunteers who are not necessarily immersed in day-to-day financial management and is open to any interested villager.
Plan to carpool with others from your Village as parking is somewhat limited. Hope to see you there!

Villages NW is competing in the cornhole toss tournament and will be present at "Nonprofit Row" together with more than 25 metro area nonprofits that share a Mission to support our older and vulnerable community members.

Rogerson Clematis Garden and Hughes Water Garden Visits - In person, Outdoors

Description: Garden tour of Rogerson Clematis Garden (in West Lynn) and Hughes Water Garden (nearby). The clematis garden has the largest collection of clematis in the U.S. You will be delighted by the vast arrays of different clematis flowers. The Hughes Water Garden has wonderful collection of lotus and water lilies and a shaded pond to wander thru.
Both gardens are free.

Description: Medications can bring on problems if they don’t mix well with other things you put into your body, like another medication, a certain food, or alcohol. These drug interactions can make your medication stop working, become less effective, or too strong, and cause potentially triggering side effects.
Kayt Zundel MPA, MS from Legacy Health Services will explain how to check potential interactions and how to avoid them.
Following the 1-hour presentation, she will go over drug interactions with each attendee.

SEV Garage Sale Fundraiser - Outdoors, In Person "Save the Date"
The sale will be held from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM (Pacific) on both Friday, June 14th and on Saturday, June 15th.
Where: The location of the garage sale is to be determined.
Description: Sunnyside East Village will hold a garage sale to raise funds for our startup expenses. We need your help. Please consider donating items that you no longer need to our sale. They should be clean, in reasonably good condition, and not in need of mending or repairs. No electronics.
Your handcrafted items, fruits/vegetables from your garden, home-baked goods, and floral bouquets would also be welcome.
Please price your items prior to delivering them to the sale location. Any items that are left over after the sale will be donated to a charity.
Donated items, other than perishables, should be delivered to Carol Vandermiller by Sunday, June 9th. Fruits/vegatables, home-baked goods, and flowers should be delivered on Thursday, June 13th, by 7pm. Home-baked goods must include lists of ingredients as a protection for those with food allergies.

Village at the Falls is holding its 3rd annual Garden and Art Tour! 8 private gardens are featured. You are invited to eight extraordinary gardens in Oregon City. Several of the gardens will also feature local artists.
This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to see these beautiful and unique private gardens while supporting Village at the Falls. Your $12 ticket helps subsidize membership cost for our low income neighbors.
