Monetary support of River West Village is critical to our ongoing financial stability. Donations of any amount will help, allowing us to concentrate on building our volunteer and membership rolls.

Bring the Pieces Together for More Seniors

In most Villages across the country membership fees account for only 44% of the budget. Currently we can cover our expenses with membership revenue alone. As we grow we want to expand our support for our low income neighbors and add a part-time staffer to work with volunteers and members. To do this we need to supplement member fees with donations. Your gift lays the foundation for long-term sustainability.

Tax Benefits of a Donation from your IRA

Giving less to your favorite charities because you no longer itemize? Consider making a gift through your mandatory IRA distribution. You can reduce your taxable income by making your donation from your required minimum IRA distribution. You choose the amount to donate – a portion or all of a distribution – and ask your financial manager to make the gift for you. Please notify us that the gift is coming so that we can thank you and provide you with the appropriate documentation for tax purposes. To be counted for the 2021 tax year, distributions must be transferred to the charity by December 31st.

Village Strong Society

Join the Village Strong Society to support our long-term goals and create a vibrant and thriving community. Your generosity will also help friends and neighbors who might not otherwise be able to become villagers. With your charitable donation of $500 or more to the Village Strong Society, you will be listed as a society member on the Friends and Supporters page.

There are a variety of ways to make your contribution:

  • One time credit card payment
     
  • Monthly payments via PayPal. Payments can be made using either a credit card or your PayPal account ($10.00 minimum)
     
  • Monthly donation from your checking account. Contact River West Village (info@RiverwestVillage.org, 971-266-3187).
     
  • Checks should be made out to Villages NW fbo River West Village and mailed to PO Box 80351, Portland OR 97280
